Keep in mind that these Lenses are NOT reproduction Glass...
They are Lenses that have been stored away for over 70 years.
Most are New Old Stock (NOS) some are gently used, all are priced accordingly.
If you see a match for your car, I would suggest that you purchase it as a spare,
once these are gone... they are gone forever!

Currently I have Two lists of Early Vintage Headlight lens types available, and Two image pages.
Older cars used FLAT GLASS Lenses, by 1931 some used CONVEX GLASS.
The Specialty Lenses are a few images of dish type, or oval lenses that are VERY RARE these days.

It has come to my attention, that there is another site who has stolen my lens and car lists, ver batim.
Shame on them! He even took my copyright information and removed my name.
Hopefully I am not the one he is accusing of stealing his artwork. All the artwork here was scanned by me
and manipulated to create the top of this page. Click here to see the 1937 book it comes from.
It is another year and he continues to use my lists, even after I have contacted him.
If you want proof, ask him for the tumey big dome lens, and see if he will send you an image of it.
He can not since he doesn't have one. Lets see if he removes it from his list.

I am interested in other Specific Lenses in good usable condition for the right price, or big lots of any glass. I will make sure they find good homes!

HOW TO ORDER Early Glass

BRAND and SIZE: It is not sufficient to specify only the brand name when ordering Lenses — the size must be given as well. Some manufacturers made 15 or 20 different sizes that are measured with differences as small as 1/64!! You will not be able to mount glass that is too large for your vehicle without creating a mess. Please be careful and get the proper information to me. Some later cars had a more critical fit and the glass was made to fit in a more custom manner. Most of these do not have interchangeable alternatives.

If you have lenses on your vehicle, carefully remove one from the can and look at it closely with a magnifying glass. Make notes of any sizes, or part numbers marked in the glass. Please ignore the Patent numbers as they are usually of no help. Do note the manufacture name, and write down line by line just as it shows on the prism. Many times there are subtle differences in the wording order or the type style or size. Some of these differences as so slight, you may be able to get away without a perfect matched pair. Keep in mind that the outer edge will be hidden once mounted, so broken or chipped edges will not be an issue. If you have broken lenses, they are good as reference too, use anything that will help you find your match.

If there are no sizes marked, measure the outside edge (O.D.) "A" and the prism edge, inside dimension (I.D.) "B" (see guide below). These should be measured as closely as 1/64. If you can not get a good measurement, make a rubbing of the face of the glass. Mail it to me the old fashioned way. I will try to match it.
Make a note of where the Notches are. See the notch guide shown here.
